God seems a mere fancy to me — spooky, hiding in the shadows, not really concerned. If love and anger are two feelings which are in people, I guess God don’t have these. In one story about Him He is a big Hand in the sky — of His Son, Jesus; a tough “figure out” for me. “What does He want?” I wonder! – the answer could fill a big void with the other “what you have to do’s.” At church and grade-school we think about God. Fresh means not stagnant, decayed, fermented or rotten. God’s life is fresh, bright, original, innovative, creative, clean, and crisp. Can we discern the difference? Here’s a primer. Is there a thin layer of slime on it; is there a lot of bugs around it or has the color of it changed from green to orange? These kinds of signs are mini-clues that foods, thoughts, or words, reek, (stink, duh); are not fit for consumption. How do we keep it airy? We must be built up continually. We must be seeing the world from a finished work perspective and not from the perspective of the natural universe. Eternity must be in our hearts. When someone pressures another to something, they presuppose that the “another” will forego their free will on this one. The resoluteness of the “someone” in fact limits the ability of the other to freely decide. Why? The faculty of will requires freedom to operate. Two things that destroy true liberty of choice are fear and excess. Fear divides the mind, and excess overloads it. Bible liberty is in Holy Spirit presence. That presence takes us out of double-mindedness originated at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Divine life in the Spirit is the domain of a higher principle. This life has no beginning or ending. It can never die, and faith is the system of perception that sustains all of the above. Fear and faith cannot co-exist, so if someone manipulates us by fear, no faith remains to perceive the Spirit led choice. Example? Often things get…
