“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.’ Isaiah 43:25
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.’ Luke 23:34
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” Philippians 3:13
“For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. “Romans 7:19 -20
“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. “Psalm 103:8-10
Only a few of the verses describing God’s great erasing, we have found many others. For instance:
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. “Psalm 103:12
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. ” Isaiah 53:6
” Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:” 1Peter 2:24

2Samuel 1:23 teaches a strong lesson about King Saul who failed miserably, “Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions. ” Both Saul and Jonathan are united in David’s evaluation, even though Jonathan was a true friend while Saul tried to kill him.
A better example is righteous Lot, 2Peter 2:6 -9 ‘And turning the cities of Sodom and” Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations.”
And then we have Numbers 23:21 “He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.”

Powerful words speak from Genesis 50:20 “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Shocking is the power of forgiveness that forgets.
Forgotten here was the dastardly deed of the brothers against Joseph. They had conspired to eliminate him, first , with an intention to kill him, but was delivered by Reuben. Finally, they simply sold him to Ishmaelites for 20 pieces of silver.
Beloved, of much coercion holds the conscience of the guilty. A conscience condemns, is scandalized, creates a pulsating wound. Lets consider:
1Corinthians 10:23-29 “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth. Whatsoever is sold in the shambles,( butchers’ stalls; flesh market.) that eat, asking no question for conscience sake: For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof: Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?” Paul gives a principle:
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
JFB offers: “I am to abstain only in the case of liability to offend another’s conscience; in cases where my own (conscience) has no scruple, I am not bound, in God’s judgment, by any other conscience than my own.
Psychology adds, “Guilt is self-focused but also highly socially relevant: It’s thought to serve important interpersonal functions by, for example, encouraging the repair of valuable relationships and discouraging acts that could damage them. “
Friends, we must follow 1Timothy 1:19 “Holding faith, and a good conscience;” and 1Timothy 3:9 “Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.”
We must exercise ourselves, in Acts 24:16 to have a conscience void of offense.
“Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, 1Timothy_1:5
Love governs the saint also in Galatians 5:13
The conscience bears witness, Roman’s 2:15 and 9:1
Some have weak consciences: 1Corinthians_8:7 8:10 , 8:12 Titus_1:15 teaches us, “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.” Some sear their conscience, 1Timothy 4:2 “Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”
Finally, “1John 3:19-20 “And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. “
Take your guilty conscience strait to God. He knows of your guilt. However, God has gloriously made a way of deliverance and cleansing. Through the blood of Christ, we have remission for sin. See Hebrews 9:14 No sin, no matter how convicting is exempt from the all encompassing mercy of God. God has concluded all in sin Galatians 3:22, and unbelief in Romans 11, that He might have mercy on all.” All is blotted our at Calvary. Love ya
