The external world without focus is full of generalities, but requires deeper insight for accurate living. With my 600 ml. lens, I have opened the world of bird closeups. Colors come alive and details of body shapes, sizes and configurations. “”Species distinguishing” has become possible. Feeding habits, beak size, migration tendencies and flying techniques come alive. More and better lenses produce even more details. The world manifests itself visibly but also invisibly. In this invisible realm, the prayers of Paul speak in Ephesians –“The eyes of our understanding enlightened – hearts illuminated, — love seized upon, –and love possessed . In the same sense, The Psalmist prays, “Uncover my eyes to see previously undistinguished things.” Psalm 119:18 And a prophet, Elisha, prays for a young man to see angels — he does. 2Kings 6:17 “And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see.…

Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house; So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. Psalm 45:10-11 Listen, set your affections upon, ready your ear, mislay or be oblivious to thine own people and thy father’s house. Put them out of your mind. Don’t remember them any longer. The king will take pleasure in this beautiful sight; your humble attention, removing distractions of former attachments, entering into a concentration on him alone. Beloved, as we lay aside our identity in Adam, including our natural upbringing, genetical makeup, personality traits, cultural traits, and persona, we set a gaze on a new identity, which is — the state in which we are being loved, receiving affection, and being admired by another. Not resulting from our observable qualities, but from looking away from these…
I flew the small way this week — 8 seater. Not bad, a beautiful day, winds were at a minimum. Three seats actually carried travelers — two others and me. A pilot and co-pilot manned the front seats. We flew not by the “seat of our pants,” but for me it was an adventure. The term (flying by the seat…) emerged in the 1930s and was first widely used in reports of Douglas Corrigan’s flight from the USA to Ireland in 1938. “Douglas Corrigan was described as an aviator ‘who flies by the seat of his pants.” “The old flying expression of ‘flies by the seat of his trousers’ was explained by Larry Conner — means going aloft without instruments, radio or other such luxuries.” phrases.org. The phrase conjures up a ton of metaphorical pictures for believers. We believers must go many times without connective guides — gauges for equilibrium, location…
G.E. Pember lists several trends of the end times seen in the days of Noah. Some are these: A tendency to worship God as Elohim, that is, merely as the Creator and the Benefactor, and not as Jehovah, the covenant God of mercy… …disregard for the primal law of marriage. …consequent invention of many devises whereby the hardships of the curse were mitigated… An alliance between the nominal church and the World.. The rejection of the preaching of Enoch and Noah. The appearance on the earth of beings from the principality of the air. Ahem! Has Jesus Christ subtly lost popularity today ? Have folks decided to rightly honor our Great God and Creator, but at the expense of Christ? Have we chosen a wide and safe approach rather than the offensive bloody cross of Christ? If so, we forfeit the heart of God, grieved and angered at sin, now demonstrating…
