“Of this good news I have been appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher. This is why I am suffering so, but I am not ashamed of it, for I know whom I have trusted and I am absolutely sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.” 2Timothy 1:11-12
“O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.” Psalm 66:9
Friends, it is our soul which must be kept. But what can we discern about its proper state? Well, when thoughts are established, our way is brought to pass, and surety and confidence emanate of it, God is keeping my soul! The Bible teaches such.
But, there is a danger — and we must guard our hearts with all diligence. See Proverbs 4:23
To illustrate, “No one would ever say, ‘I am tired of headaches, I want some toothache. Or. “The only thing for this Russian influenza is some German measles. “
No, but in the realm of our soul, we may make this mistake. Here is why:
“We all feel angry at an irreligious priesthood, but some of us would go mad with disgust at a really religious one.” Or “We all disapprove of prostitution, but we do not all approve of purity.” Quotes by G.K. Chesterton
Brothers and Sisters, first is a diagnosis of soul without guidelines, next is the cure without absolute truth.
Beloved, ” Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. “1Peter 4:19 We must ! Soul prosperity is not a self guard, but a giving up into the care of another who is trustworthy. And then what?
We must trust in the Lord with all of our heart, lean not to our own understanding. I must trust in His keeping and not my soul projections. I live in a sound mind, a clean conscience, quiet emotions, God-consciousness, and freedom to make decisions. I am safe in His arms of protection.
Against all odds, believe, at every turn, believe, when doubts come, believe, when failures attack, believe and so prove the good, acceptable, the perfect will of God.
In closing, many present their bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God as instructed in Romans 12:1-2. Not conformed to this world, transformed by the renewing of the mind, they prove the will of God. This is referred to as Consecration. However, the minute difficulties come in circumstances or experience they feel they have erred in some way and must seek remedies. They trust the fluctuating conditions of soul and doubt the will of God. Right now we must stand! Right now we must trust the Keeper of our soul. He will never leave you or forsake you. Yes, we are learning of Him, but right now we must know Him. Place all of your eggs in His basket, trust with your whole heart, put your whole life on the line in trust of God, bet every penny that your soul owns on His safe keeping and wait and watch for His coming.
In closing, “Gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ” For surely there is an end, and your expectations shall not be cut off. 1Peter 1:13 Proverbs 23:18 Amen love ya
