Light up the Rooms of Your Soul

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for

it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.

But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:11-14

Light brightens up our darkness, and in the light we gain more and more light in the rooms of our soul.

Rooms of our soul?

The metaphor was first painted by our Founder and Pastor, Dr. Carl Stevens.

He states, “The first thing grace teaches us is to deny ungodliness. Then we can live “soberly”—with discreet, quiet truth, having the rooms of our soul filled with categorical doctrine.”

He continues, “Once the foundation, which is Christ, has been established in our heart,

and the walls of doctrine have gone up, we begin to build the rooms of our soul.

So, “Satan and his demons are always attacking our minds because if they can get at the mind, they can create ungodly emotional ‘complexes.’
These complexes are structures that are built in the soul when a person continues in a specific sin. The sin affects other areas or ‘rooms’ of his
soul that become attached and reinforced as strongholds, weakening the believer’s resolve.”

Wow, several darkened rooms of the soul form a stronghold. Makes sense.

“Strongholds are fortresses, like powerful castles erected within the soul by Satan.”

So, for example,  “Fear lingers in these rooms of the soul, persuading people that something good will not happen to them and that their problems will not change.”

“Strongholds negatively affect our capacity to expect something good from God.” Loneliness and an awareness of ones frailties and vulnerability can be demonically stimulated. Again, Dr. Stevens teaches on rooms, strongholds and castles.

So, we need Spiritual weaponry:

“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto
him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
“They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
“Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
“This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.

But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
“So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
“And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. “And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and
Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
“When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, w h e re are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
“

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” (John 8:3-11).

A stronghold of adultery; probably fear, loneliness, poor self image and no hope for anything to change had formed in a woman. Men of the Law had only the dark accusation of hell to offer her. The stronghold metastasizes, the cancer spreads.

Jesus first addresses the accusers about their right to lawful accusation. They slip away, condemned themselves. Then He asks, “where are thine accusers?”  She has to admit, there are none. The light of the knowledge of the glory of God resides in the Face of Jesus Christ and

The Light of the World now speaks:

“Neither do I condemn thee, neither do I condemn thee, neither do I condemn thee !!!” Halleluia!
