A garden is a place a beauty, beauty that is growing more beautiful. It is a place where life in its quietness and subtlety slowly unfolds itself to the eyes of it’s beholder. Christ here in Song of Solomon 5:1 is the beholder, and his garden brings Him exceeding joy. It is a garden of souls, a garden of capacities, a garden of the consciousnesses of many individuals. It shows the end of the Law unto righteousness, it is the end of one dispensation and the beginning of another. This one man was Adam, who’s fame is recorded at the outset of the Bible, in the book of Genesis. With his wife, Eve, Adam disobeyed God’s prohibition on the tree of knowledge. Because of this act of disobedience, all of Adam’s future generations received the sentence of death upon their lives, though not themselves sinning as Adam’s act did. And not that I’m better than a sparrow, but that God loves sparrows. He also dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor, and, you are of more value than many sparrows , even the hairs of your head are all numbered! Is it because we’re bigger? Perhaps they have related to this Accuser in a cartoon format, perhaps in a scary movie. Nevertheless for every Christian there’s something about your life that comes under accusation and we do well to discern it. Indeed, our Christianity gives us the opportunity to discern. Psalm 94:19-21 teaches us, “In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy (God’s) comforts delight my soul.  Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. “ Brothers and sisters, there are two kingdoms, one of light, glorious light.
