Thoughts for the Road

Deuteronomy 28:14 reminds us, “… thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. ” But, “the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath.” v. 13.

We walk circumspectly; we walk in love. We walk in His light; we walk by faith. We stand in liberty; we put on the armor of light — in patience we possess our souls.

We walk, not as the Gentiles, in the vanity of their mind — we neglect thoughts and paths that minister questions, that end up in circles, or unresolved conflicts.

If we walk to please people, we become slaves to them. The right pathway is one which glorifies God only. Is that path proceeding to the praise of the glory of His grace? Does it magnify His name? Are we giving people what they want, or are we giving them what they need? Beloved, people need the Lord.

Friends, do we fear to disappoint people? To bring them solely to ourselves will ultimately disappoint them. We cannot fear to disappoint Men; because, just like us, they need God. Just like us , they must learn to not put their trust in Men — it results in a curse. See Jeremiah 17:4-5

2Peter 1:20-21 teaches us, ” … no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

Friends, the calling is high, it is holy, it is indeed heavenly —

In our travels we may meet these kinds of quotes, “Our practice is to become more aware of life energy and to acquire a deeper understanding of living in a state of presence. This, in turn, allows consciousness to expand as it becomes more and more aware of itself.”

Okay, “more aware, deeper understanding, expanded consciousness.?” These ideas can be by-products of a Christian’s walk, but never the focus. These ideas, taught as principles of growth for unsaved people, are rooted in all kinds of false premises. In short, they lead to self-awareness, and the pretense of finding self-acceptance . Frankly this manipulation results in a searing of the conscience, distorts judgment, negates the moral precepts which lead to a good sense of right and wrong. Brothers and sisters in Christ, don’t get caught in a trap.

In closing,

“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Col 2:16-17

“Let no man beguile you of your reward in;

Friends, voluntary humility or “self willed humility” is still just “self.” Intruding means “taking their stand on imagined revelations in the mysteries.” Still unfounded. Pride of intellect keeps folks in the empty mental state. But in contrast:

” … holding the Head,(Christ), from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God. Col 2:18-19

We are members of His body, flesh and bones. Just keep holding the Head. He will supply nourishment , knitting together, increase. He will make you and me the Heads and not the Tails. Love ya
