Deuteronomy 28:14 reminds us, “… thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. ” But, “the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath.” v. 13. We walk circumspectly; we walk in love. We walk in His light; we walk by faith. We stand in liberty; we put on the armor of light — in patience we possess our souls. Not to be confused for a totalitarian nostalgist, I would support a kind of socialism that would be democratic and aimed primarily at decommodifying labor, reducing the vast inequality brought about by capitalism, and breaking capital’s stranglehold over politics and culture,’ she wrote.’ Her piece appears to be based on the fundamental misconception that people in a capitalist society struggle to obtain their own individual piece of the economic pie.
