Michael Dorstewitz wrote an interesting editorial at newsmax.com Here is an excerpt:
“‘Columnist Elizabeth Bruenig suggested Tuesday in The Washington Post that, “It’s time to give socialism a try. Not to be confused for a totalitarian nostalgist, I would support a kind of socialism that would be democratic and aimed primarily at decommodifying labor, reducing the vast inequality brought about by capitalism, and breaking capital’s stranglehold over politics and culture,’ she wrote.’
Her piece appears to be based on the fundamental misconception that people in a capitalist society struggle to obtain their own individual piece of the economic pie.
While there may be but one ‘economic pie’ in a socialist society, in capitalism,
each person is given the freedom
to create his own pie.”

O my Lord! What a metaphor for the Christian Life!
Do you realize that you have been given a “pie” and this pie can be made to your individual fancy, capacity and for enjoyment, yours and others?
Do you realize that as you catch a vision for building your unique piece of pastry, you will fulfill your eternal purpose?
Do you see how false ideologies can mess with the simplicity of this idea?
In a day of volatility, radical thoughts emerge from all camps — it is indeed a radical day we live. If we hesitate for lack, or inadequacy, we must re-discover God’s Even-place, His place for communion, His mercy-seat, His grace. Through right foundations, we grow into finding our individual purpose in Christ’s body, the church, the invisible manifestation of God on earth.
For too long I have tolerated a legalistic, probationary, freedom-lacking premise, taught by the unstudied and novice. In my opinion, inaccurate Christian life-teaching has immobilized and stifled true believers everywhere, and left hanging those waiting to be saved. We must move forward, it’s getting late.
Some complicated falsehoods include:
- “I must live up to the ‘Christian’ model, which I am working at.”
- “When I get some victory over my besetting sin, I will live like the others.”
- ” It’s too hard.” “I haven’t discovered my gifts, like them.”
- “God helps those who help themselves.” “I’m not so good at it.”
Friends, we cannot, and must not, live in blaming, dodging, shucking, excusing, or any other form of “slow down” allowed or imagined for living.
Do we not see that to live beneath the Christian life is to run from a false picture of it?
If we see the freedom, the totally “complete” nature of it, the glorious act of Christ which purchased it, and the willingness of God to “perform the thing concerning me,” then, missing it is to miss the very peace and joy which we long for.”
We must apply:
- John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.”
- John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- John 4:14 But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
- John 5:24 “He that hears my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
- John 6:39 “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing.”
- John 8:11 Woman, where are those thine accusers? …And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
- John 10:28 “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
- John_13:10 “Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean.”
- John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
- John 15:3 “Now you are clean.”
Believer get baking, your pie is long overdue and we can’t wait to eat some! love ya
