“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. ” Philippians 3:21
“Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace;” Ephesians_2:15
” …in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:’ Ephesians 1:10
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” Ephesians 4:13
We shall be changed!
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1Corinthians 15:53
We will put on “unending existence; and genuineness:” Strongs
” …then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? ” 1Corinthians 15:55

“Jesus gave a sample of the coming transfiguration on the mount, in Matthew 17. Not a change of identity, but of fashion or form.” As Christ’s glorified body was essentially identical with His body of humiliation; so our resurrection bodies as believers, since they shall be like His, shall be identical essentially with our present bodies, and yet “spiritual bodies.” JFB
So, our current body is considered “vile.” “humbled, depressed, made low, decayed, perishable, liable to die.” But this corruptible will put on incorruption. Same identity, new equipment. The mortal will take on immortality.
” …it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. I john 3:2
Apparently, seeing Him will put the final touches on our change. Till then, we shall be “shaped together, jointly formed” In Romans 8:29 and God’s individual plan for each will do the shaping. In this plan of predestining, all that is not Christ systematically is cut away. This is the picture of the sculptor chipping off pieces small and large, leaving Christ’ image clearer and clearer. The “Potter and clay” of Ezekiel 18 mirrors the same.

In closing, nothing stagnant or decaying ever enjoins the child of God. No, we are “with reverence” and “with distinction” made. We are formed in variegate color, that is, embroidered. intricate, covered, scribed in a book, placed together piece by piece. see Psalm 139:14.
We, unique in Him, `gain our manifested identity, as Father does the work. We do not lose our uniqueness as some weird religions proclaim.
Finally, becoming like Christ is a lift, a betterment, an enhancement, a glory. Let that be at the bottom of our outlook. At the center of our focus, core of our being. love ya
