A complexity, “soul” is more simply observed as feelings, judgments, opinions, rationalizations, and self-consciousness; all muddying the will, making decisions difficult. In soul, we trip over ourselves, stumble in the dark, and accept the confused state as our “normal.” Notwithstanding, the state of soul with personality traits, still guides men and women and some discover “soul power,” spoken of in Watchman Nee’s book, “The Latent Power of the Soul.”
Nevertheless, “Holy Spirit imparts spirit” to some, enabling a new person to emerge, overruling the fallen nature embedded in depraved mankind. Born again, a person becomes a new creation.
“created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
Ephesians 4:24 adds, ” … put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” and Colossians 3:10 says , “put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.”
Our new creation person sports righteousness, true holiness, knowledge of our Maker’s image, and good works.

” …old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. ” 2 Corinthians 5:17 We are washed in the water by the Word” Ephesians 5:26 “purged in conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Hebrews 9:14
” …but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11
Hebrews 10:22 Exhorts, ” Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
“We may now draw near to the very heavenly mercy-seat, without any sense of a bar to our doing so on the ground of consciousness of sin.” Pulpit C.
James 4:8 so compels us, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
Hand washing points to our approach to God.” To wash or cleanse the hands was, therefore, emblematic of putting away transgression.” Barnes notes
“I will wash my hands in innocency; so will I compass thine altar. O Lord,” Psalm 26:6.

” …be no more double-minded “— Vainly endeavoring to serve both God and mammon.
James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
“a fickle, “wavering” man, as the context shows. It is opposed to the single eye (Matthew 6:22).” JFB
Two souled men have Key Characteristics
Unreliability: Saying one thing but doing another (sometimes bordering on hypocrisy).
Indecisiveness: Difficulty making or sticking to choices.
Inconsistency: Acting or believing one thing today and something entirely different tomorrow.
Internal Conflict: Being pulled in opposing directions, making it hard to move forward. Websters
Beloved, be not caught between the latent soul, and the new spirit. It reveals a lie trying to compete with the truth. Half lie, half truth equals “one big lie.’ Faith and sight do not jive. Faith and feelings oppose. A dominant condemning conscience blocks life. Rationale and opinion do away with truth. Self consciousness paralyzes us to God consciousness. Self analysis only encourages soul power.
Let the Spirit apply the Word of piercing to divide soul from spirit in us. Be single eyed and enjoy the light. love ya
