Knowledge Puffs up but Love Builds

God
came to my house and asked for charity. And I fell on my knees and
cried, “Beloved, what may I give?” “Just love,” He said. “Just love.”
St. Francis of Assisi

Mere
knowledge deceives big time. A mom passes into eternity and a sincere
friend says,” your mom went to heaven”. Information-wise, a nice
thought and probably true, however, only a partial comfort happens.
Why? Because as human beings, our hurts go deeper. Vulnerable, and
beginning to miss mom with overwhelming grief, the son or daughter need
what mere knowledge lacks, a penetration of love or comfort perhaps. Let
us not be fooled for convenience sake, simply because we lack the
words for a proper responce.

Another
person walks up in the same situation and gives a big hug and says “I
will pray for you”. This is better, but still falls short. Frankly, what
the grieving person might really be thinking is, can you start praying
for real, because unless something bigger happens, I am going to loose
my mind.”

Truth tells us; a healing has been effected only when that inward bruise
disappears. Knowledge and sentiment are merely the pre-op hand washing
and gowning-up. Only, an operation will undo infection, cover the slash,
and vanquish pain.

Jesus did not come to give us the handbook on how to live. O yes He did
that, but conventional measures, such as the accumulation of info,
earning a certificate, or climbing the ladder for a higher position He
repudiates. Folks still try to put 2 and 2 together instinctually;
sorry, healing gains consequence when we begin with 4, and proceed
thereof.

In a great unifying effect, healing joins together two people, two
ideologies, two divisions of soul. Two, in conflict, reconcile in
healing virtue. A rift, a tear, a bruise, a cut and a broken heart must
be drawn collected, by a stronger than the strength splitting. Jesus
mediates a joining covenant, reconciles Jew and Greek, and unites a
heart stricken with the rift of good versus evil infecting.

For
this cause I must be wise concerning good, (unifying), and remain
ignorant with evil,(dividing). Some thoughts I value and hold, while
others I discard and forget, O you big knowledge mongers and professors!
Some guys gather info better than all, but use it to flaunt their
pseudo-superiority, thus creating a greater rift than when starting.
This kind of thinking creates ranks and castes and divisions and
measuring devises for knowledge accumulation, so we can reward the
information super stars.

Jesus
meets a person individually and immediately affirms: there exists no
division here between Me and you. He took on flesh and blood to remove
the division between God and man and heal any separation. Sin, death,
weakness, and shame; He has taken away, so making peace. He came to bind
up the broken hearted and proclaim liberty to every captive.
