Holiness and Justice

God’s pure nature becomes
the model for Israel
in the Old Testament, and the model for healing today. With God’s
re-established free will in man during Noah’s time as a basis, His faithful
promise keeping with Abraham came next. Because of His commitment to His own
people in history, from Mount Sinai comes the
governing and protecting principle to be learned by them and us.

God’s justice must be
known for men to emerge healed. How does this work? Well, “justice and judgment
are the habitation of God’s throne in Psalm 89 and all of His ways are judgment
in Deuteronomy 4:32”. Whatever God does, it comes forth as an implementation of
judicial fairness. How could it not?

According to the Bible,
God “is” Love and also God “is” Holy. Holiness refers to
the purity of God. Fittingly, God cannot allow anything to dirty His nature
that’s pure. Thus, a judgment on anything which attempts to violate this purity
proceeds from God spontaneously. In reality, if God could assume any
defilement, He would cease to be God. Love and purity would rush out the window
together.

So, justice defines that
aspect of God in which He will not avail Himself to infections of impurity,
whether evil or sin. If either sin or evil resides in a man or men, God’s just
exercise toward them will punish the sin or evil. Also, a man attempting to
interact with God, while retaining these two negatives, or even one of them in
His life, will be repelled by God in a sad way. This is the story of every man,
because God always delivers a just reward, and this determines justice.

Now, as a step on the
positive side, justice defends healing because, in God’s purity, healing
exists. Let’s think about it. If the doctor could take on the infection of the
disease he is curing, healing would not work. Also, if the healing medication
could be defiled, no healing could take place.

So, God teaches man that
certain behaviors and attitudes will not fly, as these take a threatening poke
at God and His healing essence. Carrying infectious properties, malignant
behaviors or attitudes will surely arouse His protective fury.

Man in any age must learn
of the many enemies threatening his personal soundness. Many of these oppose
his potentially mercy-purged soul. God’s model of justice instills in us His own righteousness and the
sense of it as a measuring device. With this ruler gained, we
can recognize and then destroy negative imposers, just as God does.

Man, like God, can live
forever protected. In God is His very unchangeable essence. In man, potentially,
is our very nature become sound. As God enters, health is brought
to us. That healed soul shuns infection as God does.

With the Old-Testament
revelation of God, we witness the preparing of man for the future also, which
is present now. God knew that by the Holy Spirit’s indwelling, one day man’s
inward governing would shine with distinctive clarity.

In any time frame, man
must learn to resist thoughts and impressions, deflect impulse, and handle
vibrations, as they appear from a variety of sources. He will learn how to
position his soul to love others but also to defend and govern.

Finally, the substance
defended must be defined clearly for a “no mistake” identifying of the false
and counterfeit. God’s process through the Bible sharpens man as iron. Man, as
he learns, gets more and more healed, delivered and restored.

But at every level of
healing there are issues. “No man seeks after God,” is taught in the
Bible. Healing, as we have tried to demonstrate, can be easy. In most cases,
however, it becomes hard as it is opposed by passivity, apathy, familiarity and
laziness. And if we are honest, this is us —with spurts of energy thrown in
at certain back-to-the-wall occasions. We may argue:” I am not lazy.”
To this I would retort; sure, but where are you directing your energy?

If our heart condemns us,
God is greater than our heart, 1 John 3:20. The patience of God, knowing full
well man’s unwitting defiance, is condescending to men of low estate by
unveiling Himself in all of His glory. This happens first in the giving of The
Law. The Awesome and Holy God, whose name was forbidden to even repeat by men, becomes
visible on the horizon: challenging all who trampled and scorched their own
conscience through deceptive means.

Because of these
unhealthy measures (conscience numbing) we have made ourselves impostors, with
a hood-winked inward barometer to suit. Our whole ball of lies is disdained by
God Himself. With the Law, the breath-taking All-Authority sets His face, piercing
guns loaded, in the direction of that self-created quagmire. Woe are we, we are
undone!

In summary, the opponent
of God’s revelation is indeed profanity; the innate capacity that man/creation
retains, in order to fabricate a god who winks at the deceived drive of natural
urge and lust. The profane creates a golden calf and setting it up; worships
it, knowing surely the idol’s abject impotence to impose any restraints. This
is where the sick people of Moses jurisdiction had sickly let their sickened
sin nature dominate them with their sickie and powerless followers in the
desert.

For us, we have a lamb,
as was slain from the foundation of the world. A meek and lowly heart, sent
forth as the effulgence of the Father. He carried the healing balm, His very
nature of love, toward a bloody cross, laying His life down for us to partake
of it.

He absorbed the onslaught
of justice from The Father. A manifestation of purity, unscathed, unhindered,
undefiled, without spot or wrinkle, He exists eternally the beauty of Holiness.
To touch Him as He is made visible creates the virtue of imparted cure. This revelation,
an historical documentation, encompasses the cross of justice, satisfied for
the sins of the world.

O thank
you Jesus, with your Holy Spirit I will set you before my face and cast down
imaginations that oppose your image. I will disregard all that seeks to defile
the beautiful cross/love display. I will keep you in the mist of my heart. I
will not be moved.
